Comedian Ron White brings his first solo tour, Drunk in Public, to Detroit's Fox Theatre. White made his solo comedy CD debut with Drunk in Public, which also inspired his latest live touring show. The disc was released in November 2003 and still remains in the Top Ten on the Billboard Comedy Charts. Drunk in Public showcases the insightful and hilarious White, who manages to be both razor sharp and blunt in his comic routine.
White first made his mark with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry The Cable Guy while touring on the wildly successful The Blue Collar Comedy Tour for three years. The tour was filmed as a major motion picture by Warner Brothers and released in theaters in March 2003 and the DVD version that sold more than 1.5 million copies was released soon after. When The Blue Collar Comedy Tour motion picture premiered on Comedy Central, it was the most watched movie in the channel's history.
