WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

The Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) is a leading American orchestra whose performances are heard throughout the world. Under the direction of internationally renowned conductor Leonard Slatkin, dubbed "America's Music Director" by the LA Times, the orchestra will be joined by violinist Sarah Chang, recognized worldwide as one of classical music's most captivating and gifted artists. This special evening of music features William Schuman's American Festival Overture; one of the world's most popular violin concertos, the passionate and beloved Violin Concerto No. 1 by Max Bruch; and another passion-filled powerhouse, Hector Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique.
