WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
A terrible drought has crippled the Gotham-like town where all the toilets are owned by a corrupt corporation. The citizenry must use public, pay-for-use amenities - a privelage which is expensive, draining and dangerous. Urinetown, the triple-threat 2001 Tony Award Winner, is a tale of greed, corruption, love, and revolution in a time when water is worth its very weight in gold.
