With works from artists from a wide range in backgrounds and geographic locations, this exhibition aims to showcase the varying degrees in which a city can be viewed.
Che Leviathan brings her brand and aesthetic to the walls in a wholly original and refreshing manner. Smith has honed her artistic focus in on the genre of realistic figurative painting, and more specifically has centered her work on the punk rock scene, fusing all the elements that inspire her into her work.
The wonderful world of animals for which Elsa Sroka is known is extended in this body of work, here with a fresh take on the faces and spaces we normally see. Sroka has a knack for portraying her subjects with so much personality and life that viewers of all ages and backgrounds delight in her work.
Lakewood Cultural Center presents the New York Brass Arts Trio in an evening of classical arrangements and entertaining anecdotes at 7:30 p.m. on March 19. Three world-class virtuoso soloists have come together to revolutionize the brass trio, and they are being hailed as the first brass group ever to play with the sensitivity and musicality of a string quartet.
An exhibition from three distinctly unique artists whose work is so stylistically significant, it deserves a show of its own. In viewing the works of Benjamin Björklund, Lindsey Kustusch, and Felicia Forte all together, one gets a sense of each artists' particular take on their environments and the people, animals, and objects that populate them.
