Patti Murin (Lysistrata Jones) has landed the role of Anna in the upcoming stage adaptation of Disney's Frozen, according to a report in The New York Post. Murin will take on the role of Anna, voiced on screen by Kristen Bell, joining Betsy Wolfe (Bullets Over Broadway), who will take on the role of Elsa. However, a spokesperson for Disney Theatricals commented to TheaterMania, "No one has been cast for the Broadway production of Frozen."

The musical is scheduled to premiere at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts in August 2017 before a Broadway arrival in the spring of 2018.

As previously announced, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (The Book of Mormon, Avenue Q), who received Oscars for their Frozen tune "Let It Go," will pen the show's full score, with the film's screenwriter and codirector Jennifer Lee penning the book. Peter Darling (Matilda The Musical) will serve as choreographer, with Alex Timbers (The Robber Bridegroom) directing.

The creative team will also be made up of Disney stage veterans Bob Crowley (set and costume design), Natasha Katz (lighting design), and Peter Hylenski (sound design). Stephen Oremus will serve as musical director.
