DALLAS THEATER CENTER - KALITA HUMPHREYS THEATER
3636 Turtle Creek Blvd
Dallas, TX 75204
ABOUT
The Dallas Theater Center's home base is one of only three existing theaters designed by Mr. Wright. The theater's design was considered bold and innovative, growing out of Wright's Organic Theory of architecture. This theory emphasizes the unification of the building's form and function, the harmony of the building's structure with its natural setting, and the aesthetically pleasing manipulation of space. It is complemented by DTC's downtown Arts District Theater. The Arts District Theater opened in 1985 and is one of the largest flexible performance spaces in the country.
