WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Written by Nilo Cruz, Anna In The Tropics is the winner of the 2003 Pulitzer Prize. It Is set in 1929 Florida at a Cuban-American cigar factory where cigars are rolled by hand and lectors are hired to educate the workers as they labor. Find out what happens when a new lector comes equipped with Anna Karenina, reading the book aloud and entrancing the masses with the Tolstoy classic. Richard Hamburger directs.
