Betty Buckley to Perform at Fort Worth’s Museum of Modern Art; Teach Song Interpretation Workshop

Tony Award winner Betty Buckley will perform her cabaret show, Broadway by Request, at the Museum of Modern Art in Fort Worth, Texas, August 29-31. In the show, the audience suggests the songs, with Buckley singing tunes and sharing anecdotes from her legendary career. She will be joined by her musical director, John McDaniel.

In related news, Buckley will teach a Song Interpretation Workshop hosted by the Fort Worth-based Imagination Celebration in September and October 2009. Buckley will assist aspiring young artists and experienced performers and educators in the craft of singing, acting and storytelling. The actress won a Tony Award for her performance as Grizabella in Cats, received a Tony nomination for Triumph of Love, and an Olivier Award nomination for Sunset Boulevard. Additional Broadway credits include Carrie, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Song and Dance, Pippin, and 1776.
