Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Rajiv Joseph, Kim Rosenstock Set for Dallas Theater Center Season

The Dallas Theater Center Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty has announced the selections for the theater’s 2012-13 season, which will take place at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre at the AT&T Performing Arts Center and the historic Kalita Humphreys Theater.

Highlights of the season will include the world premiere of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa’s The Dracula Cycle, a fresh take on Bram Stoker’s vampire classic, to be directed by Kevin Moriarty (March 15-April 28): the new musical Fly By Night, by Kim Rosenstock, Michael Mitnick, and Will Connolly, to be directed by Bill Fennelly (April 26-May 26); and Fly, a new musical version of the Peter Pan story, co-written by Rajiv Joseph and Bill Sherman, to be directed by Jeffrey Seller, with music supervision by Alex Lacamoire and choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler (July 2-April 18).

The theater’s other selections will include The Second City Does Dallas (August 29-October 6); Kristoffer Diaz’s The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity (October 19-November 25); A Christmas Carol (November 20 – December 23); William Shakespeare’s King Lear (January 18-February 17); and John Logan’s Tony Award-winning drama Red (February 8-March 10).
