Tony Award winner Chita Rivera will co-host the 13th annual Column Awards Gala, honoring excellence in theater within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The event will be held at the Patty Granville Performing Arts Center on Monday February 27, beginning with a cocktail reception at 7pm.

Rivera won Tonys for her performances in The Rink and Kiss of the Spider Woman. Her many other Broadway credits include Chita Rivera: The Dancer's Life, Bring Back Birdie, Chicago, Merlin, Bye Bye Birdie, Sweet Charity and West Side Story. She was awarded The Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama in 2009, and received the Kennedy Center Honor in 2002.

The Column Awards Gala also serves as a major fundraiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
