The Cape Cod Theatre Project at Falmouth Academy

The mission of CCTP is to contribute to the vitality of American theater by developing new plays that enable fresh voices to emerge. Of 42 plays developed since 1995, 27 have gone on to full production at stages across the country. The Project brings together writers of new plays with professional directors and actors-often directly from Broadway-for staged readings in intimate settings. After only 20 hours of rehearsal, actors perform with scripts in hand and a suggestion of sets and costumes. Playwrights benefit from the director's and actors' input as well as from a post-performance audience discussion.
