Synopsis:
Brown Rane is a threat on many levels, combining her skills as a singer, songwriter, musician, and composer. She draws inspiration from the likes of Nina Simone, Mary J Blige, Earth Wind and Fire, Whitney Houston, Prince, and Jill Scott. Her sound is an amalgamation of R&B, soul, jazz, pop, funk, rock and hip-hop in one sandwich. Brown Rane has been performing since the age of ten and as a freshman in college Brown Rane toured with a dynamic group of singers, mc's, and poets called the "Cataclysm" from Hunter College.
