Synopsis:
A frantic phone call from Jan forces her brother Andrew to return home to small-town Dixon, Illinois, "the boyhood home of Ronald Reagan," to deal with their ailing mother Mae - an irate "temporary" resident of a nursing home. As Jan struggles to leave town and reclaim her life, she and Mae attempt to navigate through their difficult relationship. Meanwhile, Andrew takes his lover on a guided tour through his childhood haunts, reliving the fear and sorrow that has impacted his life.
