Synopsis:
Legendary chanteuse and popular cult icon Diamanda Galás' passion and presence are undeniably intense. In Songs of Exile, Galás sets poems by exiled artists to her own powerful piano compositions for a moving experience about isolation and sorrow. In Guilty, Guilty, Guilty, Galás reinterprets bittersweet songs of love and death, including those made famous by Johnny Cash, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, and Hank Williams, with her strong emotions, brilliant contrast, and captivating style.
