Synopsis:
Lanford Wilson's haunting, suspenseful drama chronicles a month in the fictional small town of Eldritch - a town on the verge of disappearing. It's a story about human lives trapped in desperate circumstances, a town where the main industry has died and where hopelessness and decay abound.

The plot revolves around the sexual assault of a teenage girl, a shooting, and the murder trial that follows, but Wilson's innovative use of overlapping dialogue makes the people of the community the real focus of the play.
