Synopsis:
No Exit, by French existentialist writer and philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre, is widely regarded as a classic of the modern theatre. First composed and performed in German-occupied Paris in May 1944 (it was originally to have had Albert Camus directing and acting in it) the play became an overnight world sensation. It is perhaps the most succinct and powerful view of hell as: "Hell is other people."
