Synopsis:
Released from many grueling years on a plantation chain gang, Harold Loomis joins the great Northern migration for the promise of a new life. With his young daughter, he struggles to find his place--and his long-lost wife--while staying in a Pittsburgh boardinghouse.

Joe Turner's Come and Gone is the second play of August Wilson's 20th Century, a 10 play cycle chronicling the African-American experience in the 20th Century, now presented in full by the Kennedy Center for the first time ever.
