Synopsis:
The Arden Theatre Company presents The Syringa Tree By Pamela Gien. This powerful play tells the intertwined stories of an abiding love between two families - one black, one white - in apartheid-era South Africa. A rhapsodic and moving portrait spanning more than four decades and four generations, this semi-autobiographical, 24-character play is based on the memories of its Obie Award-winning author Pamela Gien. Directed by Whit MacLaughlin.
