Synopsis:
The 92nd Street Y will celebrate the 70th birthday of legendary composer Stephen Sondheim with two program tributes.

March 11-13, Kitty Carlisle will host three evenings of Sondheim songs as part of the Y's Lyrics & Lyricists' 30th Anniversary Season

March 19, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer, writer and commentator Ned Rorem will host an afternoon with Mr. Sondheim as part os the Y's series exploring the work of contemporary composers. The program will discuss a range of topics, including melody, drama, lyrics, Broadway and classic American songwriting.
