Synopsis:
Ellen Cornfield's newest work, Dance for a Small Room, is created in collaboration with composer Koven J. Smith and explores the process of inhabiting a world shrinking in available space, resources, and psychological safety. Through a mix of live and set music, and with a physical language equally fluent in the colloquial and the refined, Cornfield's lush and elegant choreography "celebrates the highly trained dancer as an exemplar of human thought, ingenuity, and vitality" (Deborah Jowitt, Village Voice). With Ellie Kusner, Caitlin Scranton, Emily Stone, Megan Krauszer, Lindsay Fisher, and lighting by Bessie Award-winner Carol Mullins.
