Synopsis:
Show was re-scheduled from March 22nd.

Since his early days in comedy, Mort Sahl's brand of observational humor and political satire has influenced comics from Lenny Bruce to Woody Allen and in the process helped define modern stand-up. Forty years ago, Mort Sahl stood up and told people what was on his mind. They laughed. At the Hungry I in San Francisco where everyone else wore a tuxedo and talked about trivia, Mort Sahl wore a sweater and talked about Presidents. They laughed hard. Focusing on real issues and holding America's feet to the fire, Mort Sahl is widely acknowledged for bringing comedy, kicking and screaming in to the twentieth century. His comments today are as incisive as ever. This election year provides potent material for the comedian's wry observations.

Lauded for his unique brand of political satire, Mort Sahl was the first humorist on the cover of Time magazine. He was the first humorist to address the National Press Club. Mort Sahl was the first humorist to perform colleges, doing an average of 200 appearances ever year. He was the first non-musician to win a Grammy Award.
