Synopsis:
In his monologue, Monopoly!, Mike Daisey takes on matters personal and historic, small and large, to illuminate an individual, a culture, and a world that is as heartbreaking as it is hilarious.

Monopoly! illustrates the issues we confront under corporate rule, and explores the choices and struggles individuals face living in a system that recognizes only profit and loss. He delves into the warped genius of Nikola Tesla and his war with Thomas Edison, Microsoft's historic antitrust lawsuit, the secret history of the board game Monopoly, and ultimately the story of Daisey's hometown and it's one remaining retailer: Wal-Mart.
