Synopsis:
Some of New York's most distinctive contemporary theatre artists and companies are set to participate in Prelude '07: At the Forefront of Contemporary NYC Theatre, a four-day event featuring performances, readings, studio presentations, and open rehearsals with a focus on works in progress for the 2007-08 season and beyond. Prelude '07 gives audiences the rare chance to see the upcoming work of New York's most exciting theatre in one place and to experience the developmental process of the city's best contemporary theatre artists and companies.
During Prelude '07, audiences can see preeminent work from such critically acclaimed and established playwrights as Mark Schultz, as well as that of emerging talents like John Moran, Rachel Shukert, Thomas Bradshaw, and the TEAM.
Discussion panelists include: Adam Bock, Thomas Bradshaw, Steve Cosson, Eric Dyer, Norm Frisch, Oskar Eustis, Madeleine George, Randy Gener, Melanie Joseph, Neil LaBute, Richard Nelson, Jim Nicola, Alex Timbers, and Mac Wellman.
