Synopsis:
The third annual Broadway Cabaret Festival is created, written, and hosted by TheaterMania contributor Scott Siegel.
The festival kicks off on Friday, October 19 at 8pm, as Liz Callaway, Judy Kuhn, and Lari White honor Stephen Schwartz, the famed composer of such shows as Godspell, Pippin, and Wicked. Tony Award winner Betty Buckley makes her Town Hall debut on Saturday, October 20 at 8pm with a special solo concert.
Concluding the festival on Sunday, October 21 at 3pm is "Broadway Originals," an afternoons of Broadway songs and memories featuring a dazzling array of Broadway performers, including Len Cariou, Alan Campbell, Anita Gillette, George S. Irving, and Martin Vidnovic, reprising songs they introduced either in original Broadway productions or Broadway revival.
The fall Broadway season kicks into high gear with Equus, All My Sons, A Man for All Seasons, The Seagull, To Be Or Not To Be, and 13. Off-Broadway fare includes Romantic Poetry, Irena's Vow, and Fifty Words, while the New York Musical Theatre Festival is back for its fifth year.
