Synopsis:
This rarely produced version of Shakespeare's most famous play could be an early draft by the bard, or a reconstruction from memory by actors in his troupe, but throughout history it has been tagged as the "Bad Quarto." Half the length of the better-known texts (with some passages that might be shocking to well-versed fans of the play!), this version crystallizes the famous story of murder, madness, love and betrayal into a lightning fast 2 hours of intense theatre. An agile ensemble of 7 actors play multiple roles, including the actress playing Hamlet's mother doubling as a butoh inspired Ghost of Hamlet's father.
