Disney's High School Musical

Synopsis:
Following a pre-tour engagement by Pittsburgh CLO Disney's High School Musical begins its National Tour at the Fisher Theatre in Detroit on June 26th and run through July 8th. The tour then moves to Philadelphia, July 11-22, and onto Chicago's LaSalle Bank Theatre, July 25 - September 2 with the official opening on August 1, 2007. The production will tour in over 60 cities across the United States and Canada.

Disney's High School Musical is a contemporary musical comedy about the story of two teenagers - Troy Bolton, super-popular captain of the basketball team, and Gabriella Montez, super-smart transfer student and a genius in science class - who try to navigate the tricky currents of peer pressure to follow their dream and score the leads in the big school show.

The stage production has a book by David Simpatico, based on the film by Peter Barsochinni. The Billboard Chart-topping score from this Disney blockbuster includes "Breaking Free," "Get'cha Head in the Game" and "Start of Something New" plus two new songs created exclusively for this stage premiere!
