Synopsis:
This poignant, funny, edgy, theatrical and politically-astute one-woman tour-de-force weaves three seemingly unrelated threads - the death of the playwright's Midwestern Jewish mother, the Barbie Doll craze of the early 1960s, and the complex and insidious oil-driven global economy - into one astounding whole. When Something Wonderful Ends artfully spins a yarn that reveals the full extent of America's consumerism and oil addiction, while harkening back to a time of seeming innocence, when anything seemed possible; a time when Barbie represented a bright new future.

Following the 2nd and 3rd Tuesday and Wednesday performances, The InterAct Theatre Company invites patrons to grab a brownie and a cup of joe and join them for Coffee Conversations, an informal discussion with company artists. Coffee Conversations allows the audience to meet the real people behind the characters, ask questions, share their thoughts about what they saw, and hear the reactions of others.

Following the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sunday matinee perofrmances, InterAct Theatre Company presents Speaker Sundays, a talk-back series featuring invited scholars, community leaders and artists. Speaking from their area of expertise, each guest speaker offers unique insights into the world of the play, as well as the world in which we live.
