Synopsis:
Open At The Top Productions, in association with Joel Murray, concludes its 2004/05 debut season at The NoHo Arts Center with the world premiere musical, The Ghost & Mrs. Muir. Based on the novel by R. A. Dick, this classic tale is perfect for audiences of all ages and is written and directed by James J. Mellon, with music and lyrics by Scott DeTurk and Bill Francoeur.

The Ghost & Mrs. Muir marks the re-teaming of Mellon and DeTurk, creators of the acclaimed musical Dorian. The cast is headed by James Barbour (Assassins, Jane Eyre, Beauty and the Beast on Broadway), Lynne Wintersteller (Drama Desk 'Best Actress' nominee for Maltby & Shire's Closer Than Ever), Brooks Almy (Grand Hotel, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Prince on Broadway) and Kevin Bailey (The Lion King, Annie Get Your Gun on Broadway).

This original musical version of The Ghost & Mrs. Muir is based on the 1945 novel, which has been previously adapted for the screen and as a television series. It is the story of a headstrong young widow who moves into a seaside cottage with her two young children and maid, only to discover that the house is haunted by the ghost of its previous owner, a hot-blooded sea captain named Daniel Gregg.
