 | | Anne Bogart | Works by Anne Bogart, Mike Daisey, Daniel MacIvor, and John O'Keefe will be part of the Public Theater's Under the Radar 2007 Festival, to be held January 17-28.
This third annual event, curated by Mark Russell, will feature plays and performances from all around the world. Highlights include MacIvor's A Beautiful View, about the turbulent romance between two women; Daisey's Invincible Summer, a monologue about life before 9/11; the SITI Company's Radio Macbeth, adapted from Shakespeare's play and co-directed by Bogart and award-winning sound designer Darron L. West; and O'Keefe's pair of solo shows, Two Songs.
Other artists who will be represented in the festival include American playwrights Allen Johnson, Taylor Mac, and Tarell McCraney; Canada's The Old Trout Puppet Workshop; British performance duo Lone Twin; Bolivia's Teatro de los Andes; and French playwright Olivier Py.
In addition, four shows will be presented at partner theaters. Dead Set #3 at the Kitchen; Rude Mechanicals' Get You War On at 59 E 59; Cynthia Hopkins' Must Don't Whip 'Um at St. Ann's Warehouse; and Nature Theater of Oklahoma's No Dice at Downtown Arts.
