Anna Camp and Christopher Evan Welch will join Emmy Award winners Patricia Heaton and Tony Shalhoub in the Second Stage Theatre production of Theresa Rebeck's The Scene, which is scheduled to run December 14-February 4 and to open officially on January 11. The show will be directed by Rebecca Taichman.

In this black comedy, Shalhoub will portray Charlie, an unemployed New York actor who is married to Heaton's character, Stella, a producer of a morning television news program, and has an affair with Clea, a fresh-faced ingenue, played by Camp. Rebeck's credits include Bad Dates, Spike Heels, and Mauritius, the latter receiving its world premiere this month at Boston's Huntington Theatre Company in a production directed by Taichman. The show's creative team will include Derek McLane (sets), Jeff Mahshie (costumes), Natasha Katz (lighting), and Martin Desjardins (sound).

Camp created the role of Clea at the show's world premiere at the Humana Festival and has appeared Off-Broadway in columbinus and God Hates the Irish. Welch's many New York stage credits include Festen, The Crucible, London Assurance, Scapin, The Pain and the Itch, and Romance.

Shalhoub received a Tony Award nomination for Conversations with My Father and appeared on Broadway in The Heidi Chronicles and the 1985 revival of The Odd Couple. He is a three-time Emmy Award winner for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for Monk. Heaton began her acting career on the New York stage and appeared on Broadway in the gospel musical Don't Get Started. She won two Emmy Awards for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her work as Debra Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond.
