On Sunday, December 4, the Ziegfeld Theater -- the last of the really grand, one-screen movie houses in Manhattan, and long may it remain intact! -- was the site of a star-studded screening of the film version of the Mel Brooks-Thomas Meehan musical The Producers. Pictured here at the event are Matthew Broderick (left) and Nathan Lane (right), who respectively recreated their Broadway roles of Leo Bloom and Max Bialystock in the movie, with Uma Thurman (center), who plays Ulla in the flick.

Here's Broderick again with his better half, Sarah Jessica Parker.

Last night's opening performance of Rope at the Zipper was followed by a party at Camino Sur, right next door. Here are the show's stars (left to right): Chandler Williams, Sam Trammell, and Zak Orth.

We leave you with this shot of the gorgeous, golden-voiced Audra McDonald and the abundantly talented pianist Steven Blier, who gave a very special concert at the New York offices of Rafael Vinoly Architects PC on Saturday evening, December 3 as a benefit for New York Festival of Song.
