Spring Awakening Added to Broadway in Chicago's Concert in the Park

The Tony Award winning musical Spring Awakening has been added to the line-up for the Broadway in Chicago Concert in the Park, a free event to be held be held at the Petrillo Music Shell in Grant Park Monday, June 30, 2008 at 6pm as part of the city's legendary Taste of Chicago festival. The concert will be hosted by ABC-7's Janet Davies and Wicked's Gene Weygandt. Admission is free.

Spring Awakening is scheduled to play a limited engagement in Chicago next summer, August 4-16, 2009. As previously announced, additional Concert in the Park performers will include the Chicago casts of Jersey Boys and Wicked, as well as cast members from the upcoming productions of Legally Blonde The Musical, Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage, A Chorus Line, and Grease.
