Sony's The Hot Ticket to Film Rent and Delirium

By: Brian Scott Lipton · May 22, 2008  · New York

Sony Pictures will film the closing performance of the Broadway production of Rent on September 7, as well as the final presentation of Cirque du Soleil's Delirium in London as part of its new series, The Hot Ticket, which will distribute event programming, including popular music concerts, the performing arts, and sporting events in high definition digital projection to select movie theaters nationwide.

The Rent film will also feature special closing night extras, when original cast members of the Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical are expected to join in the farewell festivities.
