Claudia Cagan, Kay Cole, Jane Lanier, and Valarie Pettiford will judge the "Be the One" online audition talent competition, which will be held in conjunction with the national touring production of A Chorus Line that will play the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, May 21-July 6.
To enter the competition, visit centertheatregroup.org/audition to create an online audition profile. Contestants can submit video clips, upload photos, and blog about why they deserve to "Be the One." Each contestant must garner as many online votes as they can, and the top 17 contestants from the greater L.A. area will be invited to a live callback at Citadel Outlets on June 7.
At the callback, four men and four women will win a "Be the One" prize package which includes tickets to A Chorus Line at the Ahmanson Theatre; and one individual will be crowned "L.A.'s Singular Sensation," winning the local grand prize of $500. These eight finalists will then be entered into the next round to compete against finalists from other cities on the A Chorus Line tour for the National Grand Prize: a trip to New York City including airfare and hotel accommodations, tickets to Broadway shows, backstage tours, show merchandise, meet and greets, and more.
