Full Cast, Creative Team Announced for Padua Playwrights' A Thousand Words

Full cast and creative team information has been announced for Padua Playwrights' A Thousand Words, an innovative evening of 9 new short plays inspired by the artwork of some of downtown LA's leading visual artists, June 6-June 29, with a June 13 opening.

The 90-minute production will pair 9 visual artists, 9 playwrights, 9 directors, 14 actors, 3 designers, and a composer. The piece will explore the creative possibilities of over 40 artists collaborating across disciplinary boundaries.

The visual artist/playwright pairs will include Robert Reynolds and Guy Zimmerman, Alberto Miyares and Coleman Hough, Matt Aston and Chris Kelley, Emmeric James Konrad and Sharon Yablon, Taz and Rachel Jendrzejewski, Lilli Mueller and Phinneas Kiyomura, Jett Jackson and Heidi Darchuk, Alexandra Koiv and Alex Foreman, and Rick Robinson and Alisha Adams.

The directors for the production will include Shirley Anderson, Mickey Swenson, Lauren Campedelli, Gray Palmer, Nick Faust, Adrian Alex Cruz, Gill Gayle, Chris Kelley, and Mark Adair Rios. The cast will include Michael Shamus Wiles, Mickey Swenson, Kiyomura, Hough, Darchuk, John Horn, Greg Littman, Jack Littman, Lisa Denke, Tina Preston, Caroline Duncan, Phoenix Gonzalez, Adrian Alex Cruz, and Niamh McCormally.

The creative team will also include Dan Reed (lighting design), Mark Stein (additional music), and John Zalewski (original music/sound design).
