Xanadu Stars Renew Contracts Through January 25

Xanadu stars Kerry Butler (Kira), Cheyenne Jackson (Sonny), Tony Roberts (Danny), Jackie Hoffman (Caliope) and Mary Testa (Melpomene) have signed on to continue in their roles in the musical through January 25. The show is currently in an open-ended run at the Helen Hayes Theatre.

Xanadu, based on the 1980 movie of the same title, has a book by Douglas Carter Beane and is directed by Christopher Ashley. The score, by John Farrar and Jeff Lynne, includes the pop hits "Magic," "Xanadu," "Party All Over the World," and "I'm Alive."

The musical recently received six Drama Desk nominations, including Best Musical, and received additional award nominations from the Outer Critics Circle and the Drama League.
