Liza Minnelli to Be Inducted Into Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame

Liza Minnelli will be inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame during the Bowl's 2008 Opening Night Concert, to be held at 8:30pm on Friday, June 20, which will benefit MusicMatters, the L.A. Philharmonic's music education programs. Minnelli will perform at the concert alongside fellow inductee, the flutist Sir James Galway.

Minnelli won Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Musical for Flora the Red Menace and The Act, and won a special Tony Award in 1974. She was also nominated for The Rink and has starred on Broadway in Victor/Victoria and Chicago. She won the Academy Award for Cabaret and the Emmy Award for Liza With a "Z".

Tickets to the concert are $15-$50 and can be ordered by calling 323-850-2000; tickets to the gala benefit, including a reception and dinner, along with the concert, are $500-$1,250 and can be ordered by calling 213-972-3051.
