Additional casting and details have been announced for Welcome to the World, devoted to the work of Andrew Lippa, to be held at The Players Theatre at 8pm on Monday, May 12 and at 7pm on Tuesday, May 13. The concerts, to be hosted by Kevin R. Free, will benefit the 3S Theatre Collective.
On Monday, guest performers will be Christoper J. Hanke and Julie Foldesi; on Tuesday, the guest performers will be Kate Reinders and Sarah Litzsinger. Both concerts will feature Andrew Cristi, Valerie Issembert, Sharone Sayegh, and Louise Stewart.
After Monday's concert, there will be a moderated talkback with Lippa; on Tuesday, Reinder and Litzsinger, who perform together as Tastiskank, will headline a special afterparty at 99 Below.
Lippa's many credits include The Wild Party, john & jen, A Little Princess, and additional music and lyrics for the Broadway production of You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. He has also written songs for Kristin Chenoweth and Julia Murney, among other artists.
3STC's next project will be a production of Hedwig and the Angry Itch, starring Matte O'Brien, to take place in Jersey City in June.
