Complete principal casting has been announced for Sam Mendes' new, untitled movie, written by Dave Eggers and Vendela Vida, which follows the journey of an expectant couple as they travel the U.S. in search of a place to put down roots and raise a family.
The movie, currently filming in Connecticut, stars John Krasinski, Maya Rudolph,Toni Collette, Jeff Daniels, Carmen Ejogo, Jim Gaffigan, Cheryl Hines, Allison Janney, Melanie Lynskey, Chris Messina, Kevin J. O'Connor, Catherine O'Hara, and Paul Schneider.
Mendes received a Tony Award nomination for directing the Roundabout Theatre's revival of Cabaret. His Broadway directing credits also include Gypsy and The Vertical Hour. His film directing credits include American Beauty, for which he won the Academy Award, Road to Perdition, Jarhead, and the upcoming Revolutionary Road, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Mendes' wife, Kate Winslet.
