(Courtesy for North Shore Musical Theatre) | North Shore Music Theatre's 2008 Celebrity Concert Series will include comedy, pop for the kids, music icons, and comedic legend George Carlin.
This year's Celebrity Concert Series will open with RAIN - The Beatles Experience, July 1. RAIN is a multi-media, multi-dimensional experience featuring a quartet that looks and sounds like the original Fab Four. Kidz Bop Live, July 2, will bring their music, dancing, special effects, and confetti-filled grand finale to encourage people to get out of their seats, learn dance moves, and sing along.
The series continues with a blend of pop music and dance anthems from Girl Authority, July 20, a local group of young singers and dancers ranging from ages 10-15, followed by the trademark comedic style of George Carlin, July 27. Boz Scaggs will bring his country-rock sound September 9, including "Lowdown," "Lido Shuffle," "Breakdown Dead Ahead," and "Jo Jo." Finally, Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood, from "Whose Line Is It Anyway," will take the stage for An Evening with Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood, October 19.
More acts to be announced at a later date. For more information call 978-232-7200 or visit nsmt.org.
