Shannon's Turn

Hairspray star Shannon Durig talks about working with George Wendt, what she learned from Marissa Jaret Winokur, meeting Bruce Springsteen, and what the new Tracy should expect!

For over three years, Shannon Durig has been experiencing the thrill of a lifetime playing Tracy Turnblad in the Broadway production of Hairspray. Her ride is about to come to end on April 13 -- but we spoke to the bubbly star on the evening she celebrated her 1000th performance about working with old family friend George Wendt (who plays her mother, Edna), the advice she got from her Tony Award-winning predecessor Marissa Jaret Winokur, meeting Bruce Springsteen backstage, and what advice she has for the next actress lucky enough to play Tracy.
