Pasadena Playhouse will present the West Coast premiere of Mauritius by Theresa Rebeck, October 17-November 23 with an October 24 opening, and Mrs. Warren's Profession will be replaced with the world premiere of Looped by Matthew Lombardo, June 27-August 3 with a July 6 opening.

Mauritius revolves around two half-sisters and their rights to a recently inherited and very valuable stamp collection. Looped tells the story of Tallulah Bankhead, the original celebrity bad girl, being called into a sound studio to "loop" one line of dialogue for what would be her last film. Looped will be directed by John Tillinger, who previously collaborated with Lombardo Tea at Five at the Pasadena Playhouse.

As previously announced, the rest of the season will consist of Austin Pendleton's Orson's Shadow (January 11-February 17), which imagines a fictional meeting between Orson Welles and Sir Laurence Olivier; the new musical Mask (March 17-April 13), based on the hit film of the same name about a disfigured boy, with a book by Anna Hamilton Phelan, music by Barry Mann, lyrics by Cynthia Weill, and direction by Richard Maltby; John Steinbeck's classic tale Of Mice and Men (May 2-June 8); and the pre-Broadway tryout of the new musical Vanities (August 22-Septmber 28), featuring a book by Jack Heifner based on his play of the same name, a score by David Kirshenbaum, and direction by Tony Award winner Judith Ivey.
