Barall, Ikeda, Leung, et al. Set for Second Generation's Eleven

Michi Barall, Jennifer Ikeda, and Ken Leung will be the among the participants in Second Generation's Eleven festival, a month long celebration commemorating the company's eleventh anniversary. The event will include a full production of Carla Ching's play TBA, and Six, a collection of original one-act plays by Julia Cho, Patricia Jang , Michael Lew, Rehana Mirza, Ralph B. Peña, and Sung Rno. All events will take place at The Milagro Theater at the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center.

TBA, to be directed by Denyse Owens, will be presented March 11-April 5. It revolves around a writer who becomes a shut-in after his girlfriend leaves him, pumping out blistering autobiographical writings in his little East Village apartment. Just as he finds himself unexpectedly on the verge of literary stardom as the next Asian American wunderkind, his brother shows up on his doorstep, accusing him of stealing his life.

The cast of TBA will include Barall, Dustin Chinn, J. Julian Christopher, Leung and Nedra McClyde. Ching's plays include Dirty, Found Objects, and The Ripple Effect. She is also a former member of Peeling, the pan-Asian performance collective.

Six, which will run March 4-29, will feature Round And Round by Cho, Ein Berliner by Jang , Moustache Guys by Lew, A Dose of Reality by Mirza, Tail by Peña, and The Trajectory of a Heart, Fractured by Rno. Directors of the one-acts will include Kate Whoriskey, Peña, Graeme Gillis, Jon Kern, Victor Maog, and David Ruttra.

The cast of Six will include Ali Ahn, Jessica Jade Andres, Jackie Chung, Joel de la Fuente, Ikeda , Paul Juhn, Jason, Jodi Lin, Matthew Park, Steve Sanpietro, Hanson Tse, and Tiffany Villarin.

The design team for both TBA and Six will include Chris Brown (lighting), Christine Carroll (costumes), Nick Francone (set), and Shane Rettig (sound).
