The cast of the Goodman Theatre's production of Conor McPherson's Shining City, currently running through February 17, will also perform the show at Boston's Huntington Theatre Company, March 7-April 6. Robert Falls, who helmed the show's 2006 Broadway production, is the director.

The play is set in Dublin, where a guilt-ridden man named John reaches out to Ian, a troubled therapist, after seeing the ghost of his recently deceased wife. McPherson is currently represented on Broadway with The Seafarer. His previous works include The Weir and Dublin Carol.

The cast includes Keith Gallagher (Laurence), John Judd (John), Jay Whittaker (Ian), and Nicole Wiesner (Nessa). The design team features Santo Loquasto (set), Kaye Voyce (costumes), Christopher Akerlind (lighting), and Obadiah Eaves (sound). Falls is the Goodman's artistic director, and received a Tony Award for his production of Death of a Salesman and a Drama Desk for his direction of Long Day's Journey Into Night.

This ambitious, intense, if uneven play about a young woman dying of cancer is elevated by a first-rate design team.
