(© Joseph Marzullo/Retna) | Full cast and creative team have been announced for Jeremy Sams' production of Zerline's Tale, to run January 10-February 12. The production, which will open officially on January 19, will be directed by Michael Wilson.
In addition to Tony Award winner Elizabeth Ashley, who will play the title role, the two-person cast will feature Jon David Casey as "The Man". The creative team includes Alexander Dodge (sets), Jane Greenwood (costumes), Howell Binkley (lighting), and John Gromada (sound).
Adapted from a story by Hermann Broch, the play focuses on the memories of a maid of in aristocratic household, who recounts her captivating story of lust, pleasure, and disappointment.
Ashley won the Tony Award for Take Her, She's Mine and was nominated for her performances in Barefoot in the Park and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Her other Broadway credits include Enchanted April, Agnes of God, and Suddenly Last Summer. She recently starred Off-Broadway in Dividing the Estate. Casey's stage credits include King Lear, The Lion in Winter, and Danton's Death.
