Davis, Esper, Isola, Kirk, Set for Free Smile Reading

Diane Davis, Michael Esper, Kevin Isola, and Christina Kirk will star in a free reading of Kathryn Walat's Smile: A Comedy About Not Being Happy, at 7pm on Monday, November 19 at Ars Nova (511 West 54th Street). The reading will be directed by Lisa Peterson.

The play concerns Cassie, who ends up in apartment limbo after a freak fire, and ends up wondering if contentment is all it is really cracked up to be. Walat's plays include Victoria Martin: Math Team Queen and Bleeding Kansas. Peterson's directing credits include Birdy, The Batting Cage, and Slavs.
