Hannah Cabell, Geraldine Hughes, and Paul Sparks will star in the American premiere of Abbie Spallen's Pumpgirl, to play Manhattan Theatre Club's Stage II, starting on November 8. The production, which will officially open on December 4, will be directed by Carolyn Cantor.

The play tells of three lives that collide in rural Ireland: A tomboyish girl who works at a rundown gas station, a local racetrack star, and his disenchanted wife. The play has previously been seen in Edinburgh and London.

The creative team includes David Korins (sets), Mimi O'Donnell (costumes), David Weiner (lighting), and Robert Kaplovitz (sound). Cantor's many Off-Broadway credits include In a Dark, Dark House, Essential Self-Defense, Orange Flower Water, and Living Room in Africa.

Cabell's Off-Broadway credits include Jane Eyre. Hughes appeared on Broadway in MTC's production of Translations and received numerous awards for her solo show Belfast Blues, which played in both New York and Los Angeles. Sparks is a four-time Drama Desk Award nominee for Essential Self-Defense, Orange Flower Water, Blackbird, and Coyote on a Fence; he is currently starring in Adam Rapp's American Sligo.
