Cast members of the Broadway revival of Grease will participate in a special CD signing and performance at the Virgin Megastore Times Square at 6:30pm on Monday, October 8. The CD is being released today by Masterworks Broadway, and the event is limited to customers who purchase the CD at the Virgin Megastore beginning today, with wristbands being given out on a first come-first served basis.
This production of Grease, directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall, opened at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on August 19. It features the original book, music, and lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, plus four songs that were written by others for the 1978 film version: "Sandy," "Hopelessly Devoted to You," "You're the One That I Want," and "Grease."
The show's cast features Max Crumm as Danny, Laura Osnes as Sandy, Ryan Patrick Binder as Doody, Susan Blommaert as Miss Lynch, Jeb Brown as Vince Fontaine, Stephen R. Buntrock as Teen Angel, Daniel Everidge as Roger, Allison Fischer as Patty, Robyn Hurder as Marty, Lindsay Mendez as Jan, Jenny Powers as Rizzo, Jose Restrepo as Sonny, Matthew Saldivar as Kenickie, Jamison Scott as Eugene, and Kirsten Wyatt as Frenchy. The ensemble consists of Josh Franklin, Cody Green, Natalie Hill (as Cha-Cha), Matthew Hydzik, Emily Padgett, Keven Quillon, Brian Sears, Christina Sivrich, Amber Stone, and Anna Aimee White.
