The Tony Award-winning revival of the Stephen Sondheim/George Furth musical Company will be filmed for the PBS series Great Performances. The taping will take place during the matinee and evening performances on Saturday, June 30. The show will play its final performance at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on Sunday, July 1, after 34 preview performances and 247 regular performances.

Produced for PBS by Thirteen/WNET New York, Great Performances is America's longest-running and most prestigious television series devoted to the performing arts. Lonny Price will direct for television.

In addition to picking up this year's Tony for Best Revival of a Musical, Company also earned Outstanding Revival of a Musical honors from the Drama Desk, the Outer Critics Circle, and the Drama League. With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by George Furth, the show is a portrait of five married couples as seen through the eyes of their mutual friend Robert, a bachelor who's evaluating the pros and cons of wedded life.

Directed by 2006 Tony Award winner John Doyle, the production stars Raúl Esparza, Barbara Walsh, Keith Buterbaugh, Matt Castle, Robert Cunningham, Angel Desai, Kelly Jeanne Grant, Kristin Huffman, Amy Justman, Heather Laws, Leenya Rideout, Fred Rose, Bruce Sabath, and Elizabeth Stanley. Company features musical direction and orchestrations by Mary-Mitchell Campbell, set design by David Gallo, costume design by Ann Hould-Ward, and lighting design by Thomas C. Hase.
