(© Carol Rosegg) | Washington, D.C.'s Theater J has announced the offerings for its 2007-2008 season.
The theater's mainstage season will launch with David Mamet's comedy about Hollywood, Speed-the-Plow, starring Matthew Arkin and Peter Birkenhead (October 18-November 25). Up next will be Robert Brustein's adaptation of Isaac Bashevis Singer's Schlemiel the First, starring Donna Miglaccio, Thomas Howley, and Dan Manning (December 18-January 20), followed by Judy Gold's hit solo show, 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother (January 23-February 24).
The season continues with Arthur Miller's classic family drama The Price, starring Robert Prosky and his sons, actors Andrew and John Prosky (March 8-April 18); the world premiere of a new musical about King David, David in Shadow and Light by Yehuda Hyman and Daniel Hoffman (May 6-June 22); and More Voices from a Changing Middle East: A Festival (July 2-27).
Theater J will also inaugurate its Incubator Series of works in progress: Amy Ziff's Accident (September 6-23); Kathleen Tolan's What to Listen For (November 12-13); Charlie Varon's Rabbi Sam (January 7-8); and Janece Shafer's Brownie Points (February 11-12).
